5-W’s (Who,What, When, Where and Why) and 1-H (How) with the purpose of educating our Youth in areas such as: the purposes, the law, the do’s and don’ts, the proper use and storage of a Firearm. Being aware of firearm/gun safety protocols can ultimately result in the decrease number of our youth/children dying from gun violence, accidental death, injuries, or from the lack of knowledge. Our children are killing themselves at an alarming rate.

 

Mr. Johnson’s experience includes providing educational, employment and supportive services for those Empowerment Zone Youth that wanted to get out of gangs, to include holding a Youth Gang Summit.

 

As a Gang Educator, on the local level, he’s provided intensive training to such agencies as, the Cincinnati Police Department, the Police Academy, Cincinnati Public Schools, Northern Kentucky University, Hamilton County Youth Center and the University of Cincinnati, Criminal Justice Department. On the national level, Rufus was a panelist on the United States Department of Education’s “Workshop on Violence” and a presenter at the International Visitor Program Biographic Information “Combating International Crime Through Global Cooperation” which was a Multi-Regional International Visitor Leadership Project. 

 

In additional to his educational experience Mr. Johnson has produced public access television programs for agencies and community leaders such as, Closing the Health GAP, Honorable Nadine Allen, Dr. Steven Reece, Denise Driehaus, Former Mayor Mark Mallory and others.
